Vegan gummies from Lublin win gold at INOVA 2026
radio.lublin.plThe inventors are Robert Waraczewski and Professor Bartosz Sołowiej of the University of Life Sciences in Lublin. In addition to the gold medal, their invention received two special awards: from Norton University Cambodia and Lucian Blaga University of Sibiu.
The gummies use arrowroot and kuzu starches and chokeberry fibre, which gives them a natural dark-purple colour. The researchers worked on the product’s consistency and reducing stickiness, creating an alternative to gummies containing gelatin.
The invention has been submitted for patent protection. The researchers hope to bring the gummies to market.
