How to choose a vegan meal delivery service

Short answer

Check whether the plan is fully vegan rather than just vegetarian, how much protein and how many calories it provides, who designs the menu and whether every dish lists full ingredients and allergens. Meal delivery does not replace a B12 supplement.

What to look for: a menu designed by a qualified dietitian; a protein source at every main meal (legumes, tofu, tempeh, seitan); calories matched to you rather than one value for everyone; full ingredients and allergens for each dish; variety across the week. If it matters to you, ask how the kitchen keeps vegan dishes separate from the rest.

Even a good service will not reliably provide B12 – you still need a supplement. Choose very low-calorie plans only after talking to a dietitian or doctor. Order a few trial days before signing up for longer.
