Nutrition

How much protein per day on a vegan diet?

Short answer

Roughly 0.9 g/kg body weight for adults (the Polish norm), more with sport (about 1.2–2.0 g/kg depending on the discipline). Plants fill you with fibre, so density matters: tofu, seitan, legumes — not salad alone.

The Polish norm (0.9 g/kg; 0.8 g/kg in the US) is for the general population, not a special vegan number. Sport raises needs for everyone.

Specific training goals belong with a sports dietitian. This is not medical advice.
