Stella McCartney causes a sensation at Paris Fashion Week with a wool-free collection
Image © Stella McCartney"Sea life, not seafood"—that is the message behind Stella McCartney's ocean-inspired collection, which uses vegan fashion to condemn animal cruelty and overfishing.
Twenty-five years after the ethical designer's first collection graced the Paris runway, Stella McCartney once again leveraged the prestige of Paris Fashion Week to take a firm stand in defense of animals. She presented an ocean-inspired collection entirely free of wool, leather, fur, and feathers.
The show took place in the gardens of the British Embassy in Paris, blending high fashion with an urgent appeal for ocean conservation.
