Does local honey change the definition?
Short answer
No. The scale of the apiary does not change the fact that it is a bee product. You can argue about biodiversity — that is a different axis from veganism.
The Vegan Society does not make a “small apiary” exception.
The debate about bees and farming is real; let us not pretend it is the same as an ingredient on a label.
