What does the V-Label mean?

Short answer

The vegan V-Label certifies that a product meets the licensor’s vegan criteria, including ingredients and checks. No logo does not always mean non-vegan — some producers skip the licence fee.

V-Label has separate “vegetarian” and “vegan” versions – the detailed criteria are on the V-Label website.

Other marks (Vegan Society sunflower, retailer logos) have their own rules.
