Is plant protein incomplete?
Short answer
A single plant may be lower in some amino acids, but a day’s mix (grains + legumes, soy, quinoa) covers needs. The myth that rice and beans must share every spoonful is outdated.
AND: complementarity over the day, not necessarily in the same meal. Soy and quinoa are complete on their own.
Very restrictive patterns (fruit only) are not the model this conclusion rests on.
