Nutrition

How much protein per day on a vegan diet?

Short answer

Roughly ~0.8 g/kg for sedentary people, more with sport (about 1.2–2.0 g/kg depending on the discipline). Plants fill you with fibre, so density matters: tofu, seitan, legumes — not salad alone.

The 0.8 g/kg figure is an RDA for the general population, not a magic vegan number. Sport raises needs for everyone.

Specific training goals belong with a sports dietitian. This is not medical advice.
