On 15 December 2026 at 18:30 (Collegium Iuridicum II, room A3, Faculty of Law and Administration, University of Warsaw) there is an open lecture, “Climate Change and the Voiceless: Protecting Future Generations, Wildlife, and Natural Resources”. Prof. Abate will discuss how domestic and international law are beginning to recognise rights for future generations, wildlife and natural resources – “the voiceless” – in the context of climate change. The lecture is based on the second edition of his book (Cambridge University Press, 2026).

On 16 December 2026 at 18:30 (Collegium Iuridicum II, room A2) there is an open seminar, “Animal Law and Environmental Law: Parallels and Synergies”. It looks at how environmental law's successes – in enforcement, access to information and international protection – can advance animal law, and how the two fields can work together on issues such as climate and food policy.

Both events are part of the “Global Perspectives of Law” programme funded by the Minister of Science and Higher Education.
